What is your role at Sigma Defense?
My role at Sigma Defense is Production Tech. I assemble, test, and sometimes maintain systems that fall under the Stingray program, as well as a few others that Sigma Defense produces. Our systems are then distributed worldwide to support the warfighter and are used in everyday operations.
What challenges and rewards come with being part of a multi-continental team?
The main challenges that present themselves in a multi-continental team are logistical ones. Sending systems where they need to go and getting them there on time. It can also be difficult to coordinate with the team being in different time zones. As for rewards, the opportunities to travel and talk with others elsewhere are available by being in a role that allows you to do so.
What opportunities for Veterans does your team offer?
The main opportunity for Veterans I experience is the fellowship that I get every single day with my coworkers. We all know what its like to be in the military and we can all relate to each other and think a certain way. Sigma does a great job of showing appreciation for its Veterans.
Where do you feel Sigma has made the most impact in the last year?
In the last year, Sigma has made significant strides in its acquisitions. Acquiring companies that meld well and compliment one another to become more than the sum of their parts.
Why do you recommend Sigma Defense as a choice employer?
Working at Sigma Defense feels like another family. The rapport I have with my coworkers and the support I get from my superiors to pursue my goals is unlike anywhere I have been.
