Scott Thompson brings a deep understanding of Test and Evaluation across the Electronic Warfare (EW) domain to the Sigma Defense Team. As Vice President for the Electronic Warfare Associates (EWA) division, he leads the Radar, Threat and Instrumentation group responsible for developing, testing, and delivering complex systems to our customers.
Prior to joining EWA in 2016, Scott served in the US Air Force for nearly 24 years. He was a test pilot with over 2,100 hours in the F-16 and flight experience in 28 different aircraft types. Through employing and testing EW systems, as well as leading various organizations at the group and squadron level, Scott has gained critical experience in the systems critical to our customers.
Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from California State Polytechnic University, a master’s degree in aerospace science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a master’s degree in systems engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a master’s degree in national resource strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. He has three adult children and lives with his wife in the panhandle of Florida where he enjoys time with his family and friends on the water.
