Open-Air Radar (OAR) Simulators 

These include full-function radar threat simulators that can deploy on open-air test ranges—replicating enemy search, acquisition and engagement radars for live aircraft training. 

Environment Generation Subsystems 

These include high-performance signal generation components that create a realistic RF environment and inject it into radar, EW receiver or missile seeker hardware. This stress tests sensors and jammers under combat-like signal conditions. 

Air Defense and Strategic Radar Simulators 

We engineer and deliver realistic RF jammers and custom sensor systems that emulate the evolving threat landscape. These replicate enemy radars and weapons sensors with unmatched realism—meeting rigorous operational requirements for test and evaluation, training, and mission rehearsal. 

Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) Integration 

Our systems support LVC training across standard protocols. We maintain rich libraries of threat profiles that can digitally simulate tactical systems in real time. This means our simulators can be injected into live-fly exercises or linked with virtual training devices—creating a blended training environment where all trainees see a consistent, realistic threat picture. 

Early Warning & Acquisition Radars 

We develop simulators for early warning networks and acquisition radars that opponent forces use. This enables comprehensive training for every stage, from initial detection through engagement. 

Laboratory HWIL Simulators 

We develop closed-loop, Hardware-in-the-Loop systems for the lab, where real seeker or radar hardware is fed a synthetic but high-fidelity RF environment. These lab systems inject realistic signals and electronic countermeasures into radar or missile receivers, enabling developers to test against true threat reactions without leaving the lab. 

On-Demand Realistic Scenarios 

Operators can use our simulators to engage with true-to-life EW scenarios on demand. This lets warfighters practice detecting and countering threats in a virtual environment— improving mission proficiency and system familiarity without the expense or risk of live exercises. Crews can “train as they fight,” reacting to threat emitters and jamming signals that behave just like the real thing. 

Turnkey Solutions & Lifecycle Support 

Sigma Defense provides cradle-to-grave development and support, including on-site installation, activating the system at the customer’s location, and follow-on sustainment. We ensure that as threats evolve, your training systems also evolve through incremental upgrades and enhancements. 

Contracts & Projects

Modernizing Instrumentation Solutions for Test and Evaluation (MISTE)
Develop, procure, integrate, and field major and minor test instrumentation systems in support of developmental and operational testing of weapon systems. MISTE addresses the full acquisition lifecycle of instrumentation related capabilities.

Threat Systems Operations & Maintenance Integrated Support II (TSOMIS II)
Technical support in the CONUS and OCONUS with services to deploy, operate, maintain, and redeploy relevant threat signal simulators.

Combat Environment Instrumentation Systems (CEIS) II
The CEIS office provides program management, systems engineering, logistics support, as well as research, design, development, delivery, sustainment, and upgrade of CEIS range instrumentation utilized at Test & Evaluation (T&E) and Training (T&T), and authorized Allied T&T Ranges.

RDT&E
Technical support, upgrade, sustainment, and modeling and simulation support for EWA GSI proprietary stimulator and simulation systems installed in the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) ground test sites.

Electronic Warfare Training Systems (EWTS) II
Development and production of the Battle Force Electronic Warfare Trainer (BEWT)/Surface Electronic Warfare Team Trainer hardware and associated engineering support. Production, engineering and other support for the Electronic Warfare Training Systems and Support (EWTSS).
