Jim Stokes brings more than 30 years of experience developing C5ISR technologies in support of the Department of War.
As Vice President of the Aries Division at Sigma Defense, Jim leads product development, field operations, and customer support efforts focused on delivering advanced intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and tactical networking capabilities to government and commercial customers. With extensive experience in defense technology, geospatial intelligence, and operational systems integration, he has worked closely with operators to develop, field, and refine mission-critical capabilities in real-world environments.
Prior to joining Aries Defense, Jim served as Chief Technology Officer of GeoAcuity and was a co-founder of SPADAC, a pioneering geospatial analytics company later acquired by Maxar Technologies. Throughout his career, he has focused on translating emerging technologies into operationally relevant solutions that address mission requirements and deliver successful outcomes for end users. His experience spans product strategy, systems integration, and direct support to complex operational missions worldwide.
Jim is a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain and an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing around the world.
