
Tom Bonazza
Tom Bonazza has over 30-years of experience in engineering, management and program management supporting customers in the DoD and IC.
Tom brings a wealth of experience in the disciplines of Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, Engineering Management and Program Management to Sigma Defense with a strong focus on RF systems. As the Vice President of EW Training & Technologies, he oversees a team responsible for delivering a broad range of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training solutions for tactical EW systems for the U.S. Navy. Tom manages several research programs internal to Sigma Defense that provide continuous education on new technologies that help enable a long-term vision, strategy, and plan for continued growth in the EW space.=
Prior to joining Sigma Defense in 2024, Tom held various roles at EWA where he successfully led the development of novel tagging & tracking solutions for U.S. Special Operations Command, the U.S. Intelligence Community, and U.S. & International law enforcement agencies. Prior to that, he managed the software development team, along with the systems engineering and design responsibilities for the development of the Joint Threat Warning System Embedded Proficiency Trainer for SPAWAR and USSOCOM. Tom also supported several internal research & development programs at EWA, and as a result holds several patents. Before joining EWA in 1993, Tom served as a civil servant at the National Security Agency.
Tom received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from West Virginia University and master’s from Johns Hopkins University. Tom currently resides in Fairmont, WV with his wife. He enjoys traveling, mountain biking, and coaching youth alpine ski racing.
