Sigma Defense and SkillBridge

Sigma Defense is proud to be a partner of the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge program designed to help service men and women transition between military service and civilian employment.  SkillBridge offers active-duty service members the opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience through industry-specific training, apprenticeships, or internships during their final 180 days of service by connecting participants with public and private sector partners who provide real-world job experiences.  This allows service members to build skills, explore career interests, and enhance their resumes – all while still receiving military pay and benefits.

SkillBridge is open to service members of any rank, enlisted or officer, who have served at least 180 continuous days on active duty and are within six months of separation or retirement. Participation requires approval from their unit commander, which is granted based on mission requirements.

Sigma Defense is committed to supporting and employing Veterans and the SkillBridge program is critical to being able to connect with service members to open doors for new opportunities as they transition to the civilian workforce.
