Priscila is a Software Engineer, formally trained in computer science, possessing a degree in Economics and a Master of Business and Management from UFES University and Fundação Getulio Vargas, respectively. She is also a graduate of BloomTech’s FKA Lambda School of Computer Science, with a concentration in full stack web development.
Prior to immigrating to the United States, she worked for 18+ years in the Waste Management and Logistics industry.
As an avid learner with a passion for solving problems, she found a place to exercise her creative design talents as a front-end developer.
What is your role at Sigma Defense?
I am a Software Engineer that specializes in frontend development.
When did you join Sigma’s team?
May of 2022.
I had recently graduated with my specialization in Computer Science from Bloomtech when I started working here.
My first project was with Surface Search Coordination Planner (SSCP), where I collaborated with a group of talented engineers which specialized in building, deploying, and managing a containerized Naval application, dedicated to streamlining part of the Navy’s planning operations.
What projects have you had the opportunity to work on recently?
I am currently creating a tailored dashboard for Black Pearl’s Party Barge, which is a shared set of common enterprise tooling to be leveraged by Naval customers to underpin their Software Factory capabilities.
How were you introduced to Sigma Defense?
My first contact with Sigma Defense was through LinkedIn!
After researching the website, I understood that Sigma develops products that positively impact the defense strategy of our country and its citizens.
As an immigrant, I was welcomed with open arms by America.
I can’t think of a greater way to repay my gratitude than to work for a company that serves our country. I knew it would be an excellent opportunity to learn from the best in the DoD engineering industry.
